Snowmageddon – This is quite the storm.

There aren’t quite enough words to thoroughly explain this weather–not that this weather would be a surprise to someone from South Dakota, Montana, or Wyoming…no, rather that this weather is here. Quiet, peaceful Virginia. Roofs are collapsing, people are without power, snow is FIVE FEET deep without drifting. I remember weather like this back in SD in the 60s, I lived in Utah and saw weather like this in the mountains, but I’ve never seen anything close to this in Virginia, or other places I’ve lived including Iceland!! The winds are getting higher today, +35mph and so I am not out with a camera except for one brief dash. Still a “wow” but rapidly growing to a “WOW!!”

I’ll bet you never thought you would have “snow days” off in Washington – WOW is right! We finally have some sun today so sending it your way. Predicting 77 by next weekend so we’ll be able to dry out – hope it reaches the East Coast so you can dry out, dig out and get out!!

Wow is right! The lower level of your house has virtually disappeared!! I wonder how long that stuff is gonna hang around? If it doesn’t warm up, you could be under snow a long time! Take care, Bro!! I hope you’re feeling better!! Give my love to everyone!!
