Winchester Chess Master and “Mary Poppins Garage”

Yesterday I was wandering about in Old Town Winchester. Lots of history and historic buildings. I took many pictures, these are a couple of my favorites. The first is in a coffee shop of a chess game. I watched this man in two games as he whipped the competition. The chess set is really quite awesome and the concentration was intense, not just a little intense but very, very intense. The day was chilly but sunny and quite glorious, the players would take cigar breaks outside between games. Great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. I went into a knick-knack store and found a huge number of fun things. Some new, most older. In the rear part of the building was this room with high ceilings that were wall-to-wall umbrellas. All I could think of was Mary Poppins.

Hey Lee – I really like the chess player photo! You told a story with the photograph! You want to know more about him. He looks very interesting and you captured that . Great work!
