My Own Soup

Soup

Soup

From two posts ago, Kelsey was testing the butternut squash soup. We both liked the taste so much that I bought some fresh squash and made soup for dinner that night. Along with the dried cranberry salad I thought all was a success. Except of course, the kids thought the dinner was from another planet and so we also had to make some sort of earth-bound chicken fingers or something. Sigh. Note the flower–some sort of edible thing from the market. Although, you wonder–squash doesn’t really look like it can ever be actually “fresh.” Focus is a problem here, or rather my ability to gage the depth of field. The fork is fine but it should have been the flower. Like the black and white church below, no technical merit to this photo.
