Off we went on a drizzly day. I didn’t buy any veggies. We did, however, get chocolate, a cupcake and I took some snaps. The weather was kind of grungy which was okay. Not many people, not many vendors, except, of course the chocolate and cup cake vendors that we really like. We walked around and then headed off to the Carlyle House. There is a garden in back of the house and the leaves are still hanging on. I took a couple of snaps of the house. I really enjoy the hour or two that we get to spend together doing this. But Kelsey is now shoulder height. I’m guessing these days are memories I’ll keep going back to in later years. But wait, it’s already the later years. I got my first thing from the government explaining medicare. Hmmmm.
I don’t think I’d actually eat the purple thing below since I think it’s cauliflower and I’m not a big fan of that particular veggie. But…I don’t care who you are, you have to absolutely love this color. How nature produces this must be truly a miracle. Anyway, I had to have the color on my desktop!! Oh, and note the bright yellow things in the background. It’s like these things posed for me.
i tweaked the shot of the apples a little bit. I wanted to emphasize the feeling of fall. And the feeling of the end of the good weather. So…I made this sort of antique”y” and I’m sure that’s not a word. But then, no one comes here anyway.
Going into the gardens was interesting. There were not a lot of colors. The drizzle and gray sky made me feel gray also. But then, sort of in the middle of everything was this single rose bush with a few blossoms hanging on. And, it had been raining so probably wasn’t dew but leftovers from the rain. But, sort of looks like dew and I’m not sure if the rain would do this. Maybe.
