I haven’t really been too active with the camera so while cleaning up some files, I found this from last winter. Reminds me of things to come. This was taken in the “wilds” of Virginia out close to Middleburg. Light snow on the ground and that sort of crunchy feeling you get in the air when the temp is below freezing but not quite at the numbing level. I messed with the cropping a little to get the panoramic effect. It was actually set at ISO400, 50mm, f/16 at 1/200. I think the time was noonish. One of those postcard moments that we tend to take for granted.
And, I guess while I am doing non-standard crops, I’ll add this sunset I took one night. Interesting light and cloud formations. I didn’t really do anything to this except lighten the “fill” just a little. And the crop, of course. The blown out sun is the price I paid for the ability to see the details of the trees. I took this at ISO1600, 300mm, f/5.6, and 1/2500.
