9 – 11

I heard an interesting editorial on the radio yesterday–that we should use September 12 as the day we remember because we are a country of resilience and the day after is what carries our memories forward. I remember–like that day was yesterday. I remember how close the D.C. impact was to my family–my wife heard and felt the impact. I remember the horror of watching the WTC. I remember gathering my family and going to our friends. And I remember knowing that the attack was not the real impact–the change the attackers wanted to make us accept–that hate is effective. I don’t believe that, no matter how hard they are trying to make the world hate itself. This is a shot from a couple of years ago…our guide showing Diane and Kirsten Ground Zero.
