A “Bouquet” of Wine Stems

Virginia is becoming a wine destination. West of DC the number of wineries grows every year. We used to have just a few of so-so quality. Now…there are many and the quality has improved quite a bit. We went to one, the Barrel Oak Winery (BOW), out west on I-66. They have a tremendous tasting room facility that is a destination in itself. The wine is good, the hospitality is superb. Lots of wine, including some from other vineyards. They have lots of picnic tables, fire pits, etc., etc., but not so much outside activity during the winter. Inside, however, was a different story. Lots of folks, all having fun, even reserved tables for lunch and tasting. Of course, people are there to taste the wine and you need glasses—this is one artsy shelf of those stems.
