Learning Lens Stuff

I have decided that I need to focus (heh, heh) on just one lens until I get absolutely comfortable with that particular lens. Doesn’t mean that I won’t snap something on that’s different, just that my constantly on lens will be the same thing for days, maybe weeks, and that I will carry my camera with me everywhere. This will be tough at work but I think I can do it the rest of the time. So…the first lens I picked is the 50mm f/1.4. I will just keep it on until I can almost breathe that particular lens. I hope. So anyway. Last night we were at “an event” and there was this wonderful little girl with energy, enthusiasm, and a sense of adventure. She was fascinated by the candles and she could reach this particular one and so her mom guarded her (or maybe she guarded the candle!). She indicated she wanted to blow it out…this shot was taken as she was studying the flame–just before she took a big breath and made it go away! What fun.

Now….that one is like the original top hat one! It has that warm glow. Good catch on that one!
