Working on lights – still

I am still practicing. I don’t have much room and the ceilings are just normal ceilings so the lights can’t be above the subjects! But hey, you gotta deal with whatever and it’s still just fine with me. At least I have ceilings! I asked the kids to pose and they actually did, even one of the mutts and my bestest cat posed. But I can tell you that my kitty was very unhappy with the entire thing!!

Hey, my cat came all the way across the ocean to your house! Missy really looks like the twin to our cat Alley. I like that picture the best too. I would suggest increasing the flash power and aiming it at a white wall to the left or right (or both) of the models if you don’t have high enough ceilings. It looks like they could use a bit more light in their faces. Walls make good diffusers. But I do like the quality of light you’ve got in everyone’s faces … beautiful catch lights.

Great snaps……although Jaz and Missy look like they would have avoided it totally if they could have found a way! 🙂 The white background certainly makes your subject(s) stand out & I suppose that’s the idea…..but maybe it’s a little stark? It’s just my female “eye” that thinks that. Heh, heh……. Great job, hon!!
