The Cherry Blossom Festival

Well, we sort of made it. We got downtown around 9-ish and there were no parking places really close and so we ended up parking way out on Haine’s Point. Which was actually okay since we could walk around without crowds or pushing, etc. It was quiet, gentle breeze and gorgeous trees. And we were able to walk next to both the Potomac and Anacostia Rivers. There was lots of damage from all of the high water from the rains and melting snows. All-in-all, good. Pictures were okay, not great. Didn’t spend anytime really setting the shot. I saw thousands though, with huge cameras who were setting up for the perfect shots!

No wonder you wanted to go to the Festival! How beautiful!! Do those trees actually make cherries or are they the fruitless variety? I never looked it up!
