HDR = High Dynamic Range image. There are actually three images merged into one to take advantage of the different dynamic ranges of different f stops. These were taken at 2.8 and 3.5 and 4.0. That’s probably not a wide enough range to see the full effect.

Sure you can give up your day job! I’m visiting after not having checked in for a while, and have to say I’m really impressed with the quality! This HDR is very well done, even if the focus is much more on that beautiful bridge than on the ducks. The rose and the bird taking off in Alabama are also fantastic!

I think Trevor is correct! Blue Heron was the first bird that came to mind…….with all my experience at watching nature shows on PBS, ya know. 🙂 Beautiful pix!!!
