Monthly Archives: February 2011

So, we went clothes shopping. Except not for me!! But I went to have the company and see the sights!! And surprise, I lugged my camera around, too. I took some shots of people but they weren’t always smiling. Consequently, I ended up with shots of “things” and of course they were things around me. […]

Great looking shoes but I can’t fathom trying to walk in them!! I’m in the orthopedic phase of my shoe life!! Liked the floating hand. Nikon & I are back in the battle of the S8000!! They are repairing it AGAIN! It’s their last chance. I can’t believe how incompetent they are!! Sheesh!

Alexandria Walkabout and Glass Concert

Diane and I were walking about Old Town Alexandria and lo and behold, the glass player was playing. He fills a variety of sized glasses with a variety of amounts of water and then plays some incredible music by gently rubbing his fingers around the rims of the glasses. He has traveled around and has […]

Looking pretty serious there! Naturally, I like the color version better than your Casablanca “dream”. I’m going to send you some new photos of Diane. Heh, heh, heh…….

The top picture is my favorite! It looks like she is looking at something very interesting! I also like the color of it!

Volley Ball Champ!!

So I haven’t really done a sports event yet. Well, until today. A friend’s daughter was participating in a volley ball tournament at the DC Convention Center. There were hundreds, if not thousands, of girl volley ball players. They took up the entire Hall B and the chaos was complete—except on each of the 40 […]

ASTOUNDING action shots, Bro!! Loved the music! How do you manage to find just the right songs for these slide shows? Never heard that one before but then I’m a little behind on current music. I agree with Kristen…..if I were a parent, I’d be asking to hire you, too!!

Kristen - February 21, 2011 - 12:38 am

So awesome Lee!! These are so great and I love the music choice. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!! Parents are already asking if your can be “hired out”!

A Winnie The Pooh Blustery Day

Kels and I headed to Old Town for a muffin and some flowers. And that was about all the vendors that were there! The temperature was OK–in the mid 50s, but the wind was gusting the same–50mph!! We walked around next to the river for a bit and there were few people there, either. Just […]

Brick sidewalks! Boy! That’s something I’ll never see here! Thanks for a look at something truly different from my desert! Weather’s not good here either so look out. Maybe it will go north of you like that last one. We have a big box building in Victorville that seems to have “the curse”, too. Nothing survives there for very long. ‘Course, I totally understood the demise of that last one! A huge sports fishing store? On a desert? Not that many folks head for the ocean or the river to fish! Go figure.

Summer Weather In The Middle Of Winter

Today the temperature was over 70 degrees. Remembering that it was 15 degrees just days ago makes me know that we could have those low temps again soon. I grabbed the camera and headed out to do errands. I stopped at the local lake and took a few shots of geese, dirty water, and this […]

Nice geometric on the bridge shot! But where are the geese? I saw a whole flock of Canadians in the field across the street from our bank yesterday. Now what do you figure they’re doing here? Heading north? From where? Heading south? I’m confused! They’re not supposed to even BE here!

New Baby Photos!!!

Some friends of ours just welcomed a baby boy into their family and gave me an opportunity to practice my hobby. I had a lot of fun! The little guy was only a few days old and he stayed alert and seemed to watch me like a hawk. The big sister was having a blast […]

Just the lighting through the window in their living room. Mid day but sort of cloudy so was great.

Hey Lee, Great Job! The little guy was pretty alert for 1 week. I loved the selective focusing. What lens did you use? The only thing I would do is turn some of them into B&W to get rid of the backgrounds. Everybody loves B&W photos, especially for the baby photos. You are a fantastic photographer! I am very proud of your achievement. Keep it up! Luvu

That’s a good peekaboo shot but baby boy looks sleepy to me! Must just be the newness of him! Nice to see a newborn in something other than a onesy!! Great pix, Bro!! Lighting was really good! Was it a set up or just the room?
