Still Doing Homework

So I have added an Alien Bee light to the mix and tried a bunch of different combinations with my other stuff. Nothing really works that well so I could add another Bee–I don’t think so or try the reflector for fill. I put the white reflector and talked Kyle into an early morning pose […]

LOVE the lighting highlights on his hair!! Beautiful!! You are so lucky to be able to do such exquisite photos of your kids!!! Good going, music man!!

Dual light homework

We added a light in class this week and I’m a bit flummoxed on how I am going to make it work at home. But, I’m trying. My kids (at least two of them) are being patient. Kelsey posed for this one although I surprised her with a short notice request. Of course, I don’t […]

Another terrific photo!! Kels looks so happy & relaxed! I don’t think she minded posing too much. From your comments, I am definitely going to stay with my little point & click camera. I don’t have the patience for learning that you do!!

I don’t know what a Rembrandt eye looks like, but those are some pretty cool lookin’ eyes. Nice!

More Homework

I am feeling a bit better and took three photos for my homework. That’s all I could get Kyle to sit still! I am looking for that “Rembrandt” eye that the teach was talking about. It’s harder to see even with the modeling light if there is lots of ambient light…and believe me, with all […]

Hey Lee! Are you looking for the triangle on the cheek lighting? Rembrandt lighting is a little tough to see sometimes . Put the light over to one side and up high. Try it and let me know how it works. Dogs don’t have cheeks , so not good models!!You are doing awesome!!

Chris - February 6, 2010 - 8:30 pm

The “Rembrandt Eye”, huh? I’ll bet dogs have it! Although, Alex only has “the evil eye”!! LOL! That’s a cool pic of Kyle!! Hang in there & feel better soon!! Lovely snow pix!!
