Prom Night

Once again–Prom strikes northern Virginia. Limo rentals are up, foo-foo restaurants are smiling, HS seniors are all decked out. Kirsten and her date were patient enough to let me take a couple of snaps. Since then–a time whirlwind. Now they are both graduates. Sigh.

As always, beautiful pix! I love the color co-ordinated outfits! I hope they had a good time. All this graduating stuff can get pretty stressful. (12 days & counting, Mr. Lee!)

WSHS Seussical Slideshow

I took a few shots at the musical last weekend and made a compilation of them for this slideshow. The actors and the choreography were beyond compare. I applaud them all and would have been actually applauding except that I had my hands full of camera. I did not record the actual sound track so […]

Looking at these slides made me feel like I was sitting in the front seat watching the play all over again, your shots are amazing, I love the emotions that are captured on the kids’faces! Also, the lighting makes the cat look scarier and Horton sadder. Thanks so much for doing this Lee, the seniors will have it forever. Kristen did a superb job choreographing the dances and she was a beautiful bird.

WOW!!! That was amazing! Who makes the costumes? The kids? The hairdos on some of those gals were just astounding!! Loved the background music but found myself wishing for the real sound track. Kirsten looks adorable!! All that “daddy pride” is well justified!! Give her a congrats hug from her Aunt Chris!! Terrific job on the photos!!!

Kirsten’s Last Play in High School — and it was a hit!!

Kirsten co-choreographed the musical “Seussical,” (see how easily you switch into Seuss-speak!!). She also performed as one of the bird girls which is the shot below. The kids all did an awesome job, I think that the timing, choreography, acting, singing and dancing were the best I’ve seen in a student production. And better than […]

President Eisenhower, General Omar Bradley, and…my uncle

Well, actually he is my “great uncle” or something. He was the brother of my grandmother. His name is Frank Kelsey. He worked for President Franklin D. Roosevelt in the White House during the war to FDR’s death. He was married to a wonderful woman, Marguerite. Aunt Marguerite told me that Uncle Frank had kept […]

Awesome pics, thanks for posting!

For all of you WWII buffs out there such as yours truly, I actually got a free chapter of a book about General Omar Bradley the other day. It’s really interesting, if you’d like to check it out. Here’s the link- http://www.regnery.com/books/omarbradley.html

Great B&W photos! Guess this “government service” thing goes back a long way for you! Ike was a nice man. Don’t remember him well since I was such a small child. (Big smile)

My Children – Once Again Having Patience With My Portrait Practice

Actually, this time it was the Elder Child who needed a “senior portrait” for one of the groups she is in this, her last year of high school. Sigh. Big sigh. Anyway, I said I’d do the senior portrait if she let me do some other stuff. My assistant, as usual, was Kelsey. She helped […]

Beautiful daughters, buddy! LOVE the wind shot of Kirsten! It took me a second to figure out those are socks on Kelsey’s feet! For a brief moment I thought she painted her feet in a crafty binge!

Beautiful portrait and I love the second shot 🙂
