New Mexico! Up High!!

On a short walkabout in New Mexico, I boarded a tram and went to the top of Sandia Peak. T’was very cold, 15 degrees! But the views were spectacular and I wished I had brought my “big camera” but…I didn’t think I’d have time. Riding up the tram I sort of expected that James Bond […]

You jet jockeys just never learn about altitudes, do ya? Egads!! Makes me dizzy just looking at the picture!! Glad you got some sight seeing in after the lousy flight! I’ve seen enough of NM in my lifetime! Nights in Gallup’s “lovely” RV park every time we did a cross country with the trailer! Got tired of the place!

Sunrise!

I just can’t get out to a walkabout! So…here I am in the backyard again at sunrise. I probably have the same shot, different year, someplace on this blog. I would guess within a week all of these trees will be green. The cherry blossoms are at their peak and since I am on travel […]

My first thought was not about beauty….just ‘LOOK AT ALL THOSE TREES!!” Then the beauty part showed up!

Sunrise in the Backyard

Haven’t really done much on the web these last few days. Elder girl going to prom, her 18th birthday, and getting ready to graduate in a couple of days. Time flies so, soooo, sooooo fast. A couple of mornings ago I was walking by the east window and saw this scene. Grabbed my camera and […]

DESPITE STRAIGHT LINES - June 27, 2011 - 3:27 pm

This is a really beautiful frame with the natural rays pushing through the branches and light fog. Really well captured.

That’s beautiful!!! What a wonderful picture!! Leave it to you to notice and take a shot! Someday you’ll have to print out & frame a lot of these!! See ya soon, Bro!

Summer Weather In The Middle Of Winter

Today the temperature was over 70 degrees. Remembering that it was 15 degrees just days ago makes me know that we could have those low temps again soon. I grabbed the camera and headed out to do errands. I stopped at the local lake and took a few shots of geese, dirty water, and this […]

Nice geometric on the bridge shot! But where are the geese? I saw a whole flock of Canadians in the field across the street from our bank yesterday. Now what do you figure they’re doing here? Heading north? From where? Heading south? I’m confused! They’re not supposed to even BE here!

Road Trip!

So at last, a road trip. The lad is going to a camp in the hills, it’s a winter camp and he was very excited. We dropped him off yesterday and will pick him up tomorrow. It’s about by Middleburg and so we decided to take some pictures. We drove around, went to a great […]

How sweet of those folks to put jackets on their horsies!! Diane always did have a thing for horses. It runs in the female side of the family! They say to get a horse to know you quickly, exhale gently into its nostrils. Then the horse knows everything it needs to know about you! Learned that from an ol’ trainer at the Fairgrounds behind the house in Xenia. Glad you had a great road trip and, as always, I love the photos!

Great images I like the 2nd one a lot.

Old Town Flowers!

Yesterday it was pouring down rain and so we only walked around in the market for a while – without a camera. But Chris inspired me to put a flower up and this flower is from an Old Town garden we walked through when we were there a week ago. I am reminded that I’m […]

I love that gazebo in the background!! Terrific snap! Coneflowers are so unusual. I’ve never tried growing them but maybe someday!
