Dreary, Cold, Miserable

This is the first week of the New Year and so all should be bubbly and happy. Except, it’s not. The weather has been so blasted nice that I have forgotten what winter is like. So when the temps dropped below freezing and the winds began to blow, I mentally said, “Stop!”  The word fruitless comes to mind. People tell me prayer works…so I prayed for warmer weather. Of course, the odds of the weather warming up eventually are pretty high and someone will write me and say, “See, prayer works!” Another melancholy day.Cemetery
