Certainly there is a some sort of time warp or whatever—I am pretty sure that Rip Van Halvorsen never…never dozed off and….zzzzzzzzz.  Oops. Well, it won’t happen again…..I was doing a walkabout in Old Town Alexandria a few days ago, well actually not the “real” old town but out a bit from the water end. Right in the middle of a housing section…poof…up pops this graveyard. And right next to this graveyard is an official “U.S.” graveyard with all of the wreaths, single size headstones, etc. And right next to that is a cool park. And running through all of this is a creek. With. A. Bad. Smell. The creek had a sign that said something like–“Warning, when it rains, this creek fills with poop from your sewer.”  Well it didn’t actually say those words but that’s what it meant and that’s how it smelled. The top shot is of the civilian cemetery, the bottom is the VA cemetery.
