A quiet New Year’s Eve with two good friends and Kyle. (Although Kyle was on a game most of the night…well, most of the day!) I admit there were moments during the evening when I was really ready for a nap. But, it didn’t happen. A short time after midnight I drove out and picked up Kelsey at the house of one of her friends. That’s unusual, too. Oh well, the wonder of wisdom. Or chronology. Kyle and I had time to dash into DC yesterday for a quick walkabout. We went through the FDR memorial, walked along the Tidal Basin to the MLK Memorial, then over to the DC War Memorial and were headed for the Korean War Memorial when Kyle let me know how cold he was. So…off to the car, which was a hike. But we had fun. The first shot is of Kyle with a New Year greeting next to the Potomac. The next is overlooking the Tidal Basin and the Washington Monument. The last is of a group having their pictures taken at the DC War Memorial. They were cold but were happy. Wedding? Engagement? Birthday? Anniversary? Who knows, but they were smiling in the cold.
That kid is your minime for sure! Great pix!! Happy New Year to the family!! Love you all!! <3
