For years two buildings stood close to the beltway with golden, reflective windows that were quite spectacular at sunset. One of them was the “Hoffman Building” which used to house government offices. The government left and the building was completely made over…the exterior was taken off and a new one attached and the gold is gone. The other gold building was left alone…until recently. I had to stop, risk a parking ticket to get these shots…I wonder who used to work here and whether the building was in bad shape or whether it just didn’t meet the style characteristics of the other buildings in the area.

Gosh! It looks like they used a wrecking ball instead of imploding it! That’s doing it the hard way! Looks risky!
