When I see people literally soaking up the place they are in, I feel a sense of belonging…they are luxuriating in the same environment with the same sights, sounds, smells and people. But I always want to know what they are thinking and then I play that game where I imagine what they are thinking or saying to one another. And that always makes me smile. These were all taken just minutes before sunset overlooking the Tidal Basin. #1–Suppose he’s asking about dinner? Or where to go next? #2–She’s left her group and wants to watch the sunset over the Potomac…alone. #3–She might be asking him to put his phone down and enjoy her company. #4–I was thinking they were military, here on official travel and enjoying the quiet of a DC sunset. #5–Everything good is in front of him. #6–Using OpenTable to find a place to eat. #7–Enjoying the quiet and appreciating the city that is Washington.
