Well…almost. The sun was setting but the clouds were racing toward the horizon and the sun would be hidden as it fell behind the horizon. I was trying to catch the orange reflection on the Air Force Memorial, but it wasn’t to be. This shot was taken probably five minutes before the orb fell and just before the sun went behind clouds obscuring that orange glow from everything except the cloud. A tourist standing next to me asked, “What is that the thing?” I explained and his response was, “Oh.” Hmmm, my first career distilled to two letters. I took several hundred photos that night…I didn’t like any of them. I need to practice.
