Kelsey loves to walk in the rain. So do I. My camera…not so much. But the thing is supposed to be tough (mostly) and a little gentle rain shouldn’t make a difference. I actually believe the camera will do okay, the problem will be with the lens. I did my best to keep the umbrella covering the lens but you can imagine the stares I received as I tried to balance, hold, set, shoot, adjust, shoot…I probably looked like a penguin climbing a ladder. Hmmm…did that make sense? But you gather I had my hands full trying to keep the lens dry while shooting, walking, talking, and soaking in the absolutely beautiful morning. The rain was really just a drizzle. The temperature was perfect, perfect for me, chilly for Kelsey. We were walking at 7, not many people because of the hour and the rain. Perfect. When you remember days, these are the kinds of days you remember. Quiet. Comfortable. Meaningful conversations. Not corny, just human, family. Just right. Every single day, hour, minute is a gift but sometimes I begin to go so fast I need to recalibrate. I did that yesterday morning.

I love your photos!!!!! Especially Kels & the one with the ducks! The scenery where you live is just beautiful but your traffic would drive me nuts! I almost got my camera into the mist that I turned on for the hummers yesterday! We don’t have rain so we create rain! Smile. The Farmer’s Market looks scrumptious, which reminds me that we did an ALL veggie dinner last night! Homemade rolls, tomato/onion/cuke salad & beans from the garden. Corn on the cob & avocados from the market.Glad you have “adjusted accordingly”! Sock it to them and retire ASAP! Then you’ll have all the time in the world to do your photography and spend more time with Sis & the kids! And maybe come visit your old sissy-in-law”! Yes? Love you, Bro!!
