6th Grade “Graduation”

A very busy day with lots of laughs, and fun, and kids. Kyle finished 6th grade today and they had a ceremony and then some of the parents put on an awesome party in the school for them. They had moon bounces, candy games, water balloons, obstacle courses, ice cream, pizza, burritos, Vietnamese food, and on and on and on. Diane and I ran a “Photo Booth” and had a great time getting the kids to do four rapid pose shots. My poor photo printer worked overtime, we did just short of 200 prints during the party. Lots of fun. Kyle was recognized as a Presidential Achievement Academic winner, two medals for northern Virginia Band competition, Superintendent’s Award for Music, Area Band Participant, and honored for auditioning for and making it to 8th Grade Advanced Symphonic Band during the 7th grade. Kirsten came back yesterday so the entire family was there. Beaming. But I think Kyle’s favorite part was when he went into class dressed as in the picture below, they looked at him, and said, “Bond, James Bond!” I am not making that up!!"Bond, James Bond"Kyle

  1. I remember coming by the house when he was only a few days old. Diane wasn’t feeling well and you were at work. Diane & I sat on the couch, she handed him to me and he cuddled up and went to sleep. It feels like time has taken off and I’m still looking for the little kids. Blessings to one and all for a wonderful summer full of the love and laughter.
